A series of talks on the theme ‘A story to tell – my journey of faith’ held at Costa Coffee on the High Street.
Christians from our local community have been telling their inspirational journeys as they have travelled through life, learning anew what faith means, and what they have been called to do by God. We have heard from Deborah Purfield, who works with the Catholic Charity, CAFOD, helping people in the very poorest parts of the world. Canon Tony Bundock was previously working in inner city Leeds where drug addiction, poverty and homelessness were very real concerns on the streets around his Church.
This Thursday 22nd March at 7.30pm, we will be hearing from John Shaw, a Methodist Local Preacher, on his work with OXFAM and volunteering for projects in Africa.
All are welcome to join us, in what is a relaxed and informal evening – you can buy refreshments from Costa at the start of each meeting.
